Melinda Hein
Melinda is the special education teacher here at Creston. She attended high school in Davenport and college at Eastern Washington State College (she was in the last class that graduated from EWSC before it turned to EWU). Melinda has been employed by the Creston School District for 17 years.
Some of her interests are: spending time with her son and the rest of her family, watching her nephews play sports, swimming, and riding their new two seater bike.
She was raised in a family with super great parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. Her family consists of herself, her son Benjamin, and their cat!
Melinda enjoys working at Creston because there are great kids, she likes the small town feeling, and a caring staff. She also feels that this school is very accepting of everyone.
The special services program, run by Ms. Hein and Mrs. Jones, offers individualized instruction in the areas of reading, math, and written language. It also offers speech and language services and motor therapy. Students receive services from age three to twenty-one years of age.
